Ellen Fairclough Parent CouncilThe goals of Ellen Fairclough Public School’s Parent Council are to: 1. Promote the prime importance of, and to develop strategies for parental involvement in the education of their children 2. Act as a liaison among the school, the parents, the community-at-large and the York Region District School Board in order to advance student achievement and well being 3. Enhance confidence in Ontario’s Public Education System 4. Help coordinate fund-raising activities to help defray the costs of educational and extra-curricular activities 5. Provide advice to the school administration on School Improvement Initiatives and matters such as School Code of Conduct, Student Safety, Curriculum, School budget priorities, etc. Ellen Fairclough Public School’s Parent Council meets on 4 -5 times a year in the Library. In addition to the goals noted above, Parent Council also supports the Yearly Fun Fair, Pizza Lunch days, school-wide social events - and the list goes on! Come out and see what it’s all about!
